Danone Nations Cup
The Danone Nations Cup is the world's biggest international football tournament for kids aged between 10 and 12 years of age. The global tournament comprises of 32 countries and gives 2.5 million children from all over the world a chance to enjoy this amazing experience.
All of the finalists from the countries are invited to the prestigious International Final in Lyon, where they will play in the legendary stadium, the Stade de Gerland (home of French Champions, Olympique Lyonnais FC.)
The Danone Nations Cup is backed by the French Football Association and FIFA and is supported by the French Ministry of Youth and Sports.
In total the global tournament attracts 32 countries, 2.5 million kids, 60,000 schools, 130,000 clubs and 800,000 spectators all over the world. The International Final will see 32,000 spectators in the Stade de Gerland and will also receive more than 200 hours of TV broadcasts all over the world.
ASPR first started working with Danone UK on the 2006 Danone Nations Cup and will again be working with them on the campaign for 2007 (Ali Sheik was also part of the team that launched the event with JCPR in 2005).
Strategic partnerships have been made with event organisers, Be Sport Ltd, who have run the regional trials and UK Finals for the past 2 years, the PFA (Professional Footballers Association) and Kick It Out (Anti Racism Campaign). ASPR also works with Novotel, Adidas and Eurosport who endorse the Danone Nations Cup world wide.
ASPR works closely with Groupe Danone as part of an International Task Force Group, helping to ensure that the Danone Nations Cup grows year on year and also helps to maintain its presence within the media on a global stage.
